Property owners considering selling at auction are increasingly turning to traditional auction rooms for speed, competition between buyers and transparent sales, with our latest Collective Property & Land Auction demonstrating exactly why.
Our recent Collective Property & Land Auction in Shrewsbury, 11 out of 12 lots sold for a combined total approaching £1.6 million, with several properties achieving prices well above their guide prices.
The successful auction attracted strong interest from investors, developers, landlords, renovators and private buyers from across Shropshire, Mid Wales, Cheshire and beyond, highlighting continued demand for auction property throughout the region.

Why Sellers Are Choosing Property Auctions

Property auctions are becoming an increasingly popular option for sellers looking for:
  • A fast and secure sale
  • Competitive bidding between buyers
  • Sales of renovation projects or unusual properties
  • Probate and inherited property sales
  • Development opportunities
  • Investment and commercial property sales
  • Greater certainty compared to private treaty sales
Halls director, James F Evans, choosing the right auctioneer and pricing strategy remains key to achieving strong results.
“We are delighted with the continuing success of our Collective Property & Land Auctions. It shows that if you have the right property at the right price, it will sell at auction,” he said.
“There is no substitute for knowledgeable valuers who carefully manage the type, value and suitability of properties for offered at auction.”

Ludlow Townhouse Tops The Auction

The highest-selling property in the auction was 5 Upper Linney, Ludlow, a Grade II Listed four-bedroom townhouse with views across the historic South Shropshire town.
